This family was spending a quiet holiday at home when the waves struck. The father immediately helped his wife and children to safety and then returned to their house in a futile attempt to salvage some of their belongings. It was at this very moment that the second wave struck demolishing their house and taking their father away.

The family is now staying in a ramshackle clay hut which is in grave danger of collapsing.
