This family was enjoying a peaceful Sunday morning at home when the waves lashed the coastal village of Ahangama. The waves not only destroyed their little home and swept away all their belongings but cruelly snatched away the life of the family’s sole breadwinner. The mother and her children are now living destitute in a small shop that was donated to her and have no proper home.

  • The house partially damaged by the tidal wave
  • The house location had been WITHIN the now prohibited 100m range
  • The support required is to build a small house in any location inland in the country
  • Income generating project requested is a small grocery attached to the House
  • Minimum basic furniture and kitchen utensils needs also be provided.
  Project Progress Top
  • We have purchased the land and intend to start the construction of a house for this family soon.
  • The construction work of the house is nearing completion.
